It's a kitty door. I got mine 20 years ago for my old cat who died in
2001 after being with me for 19 years. Actually, I got two of them.
One goes from the kitchen to the garage, and the other from the garage
to the outdoors. I haven't seen the kind I have in the stores for a
very long time. Mine are hard plastic with a magnet on the bottom. One
door is inset into the other door, so to go outside both doors open,
and to come inside only one door opens.
