Just to start a NEW topic and to try AGAIN...(sounds like a B'Bunch
Jan title)
anyway, it's been wondered why Janet has no glasses, then glasses
(1972, one episode), then none, then forever wore them thru the end,
anyway (I haven't seen Eve Plumb without glasses on for a long time
anytime I see her as an adult even though she'd started them back then
in 1972) and I think the non-glasses Jan episodes were backlogged (NOT
in the Bowels, Saggie,KavisD,etc.) script-wise and the story about the
glasses started and continued-with Eve Plumb getting nearsighted right
away. Completeing shows out of order is common (Oliver's debut versus
the actually first one-there are many 1946-1952 Looney Tunes and Tom
and Jerrys done schizophrenically, in that case due to Technicolor
delays and the big studio status of their respective owners, thus
backing them up more..whoop,another otilet reference.Even today..Meg
Ryan's film for the same studio as Brady(Paramount) "Against the
Ropes", good one, btw, was delayed over and over. )
The B'Bunch's own studio in animation (Paramount Pictures,Inc.) and
others all had this problem for various reasons, scheduling may have
been the case here in the jan with glasses, and the ones beofre Eve
got nearsighted weren't yet ready to be aired, and Paramount, Columbia
and Warner Bros. at least in fact used CineColor, a cheaper and much
paster process. This explains a lot for those theatrical shorts in
part. The telvision Brady series may have had some exhaustion, since
even with many directors just a few (Oscar
Rudolph...LeslieMartinson..Jack Arnold who worked with BB producer
Sherwood Schwartz on Gilligan),etc. apparently a break was being taken
and Eve got nearsighted, so episodes before and during this time when
she got glasses got on TV out of order. That explains why she had
glasses in a isolated Brady 1972 episode, didn't for a few more then
suddenly for the rest did, in short, Eve got nearsighted with some
episde yet to air without her now present glasses! (Again, I refer you
to other franchsies, including theatrical cartoons and many Gilligan
and Flintstone and Three Stooge episodes that were done out of
order.Same with the rock then pop superstargroup Chicago records from
the first two albums.
