This story does lend itself to making puns. I'd never thought much of
it before, but it seems that the wire service writers enjoy slipping a
little word play into the titles wherever possible. The AP/Reuters
style is normally so restrictive that I guess it's a relief for the
writers to use a bit of imagination. Of course, the puns are often painful.
