We have one of his Virgin Megastores facing Union Square. It's
interesting in a spectacularly vugar way. It features a flashy hole
surrounded by concentric rings which occasionally belches smoke. Near
that is a digital "counter" which really counts nothing in particular;
the numbers in the middle tic by faster than those at either end. The
effect is something like: "Hey! Look over here! You can SHOP in here!"
Perhaps It's Branson's grand scale self portrait.

Someday soon people may be building temporary housing out of stacked VHS
tapes and furniture out of VCRs. I wonder if the Sheddi types might be interested.
