:O) Richard seems to think with his feet, or his beard.

It sounds heavy but nowadays VHS can be dirt cheap. It's made by sharp
really don't build stuff like they used to.

Far as I know it is simple spyware. The problem is that it is a popup
and looks quite official (has one of those windows boxes) and they now
make it sound useful by saying it is some sort of time correction gadget
for your pc. I know at least one person who accepted it thinking how
handy that would be. In my son's case he had tried numerous cleaners but
had it and other stuff (autodillers etc) all over his drive. I found
that even cleaning it off by hand it still came back. It had cunningly
hidden components which would simply auto install it every time he
switched off the machine. What a pain.
There was something attached to Kazaa at one time, not only was it
spyware but it would allow a certain company to actually use your
machine as part of a vast network when they chose (I'm not exaggerating
this!) and which everyone had signed up to because nobody can be
bothered to read all that rubbish when they sign up for stuff. It was
also very very hard to get rid of and led to the invention of 'lite'
versions of kazaa, without the evil bit of kit.
