No, Merkin news is myopic in terms of the world... a story usually has
to be BIG! in order to be worth jamming in between the sport and
entertainment "news".

It's the same here... "when are they gonna have a really big prize? A
million is chump change... why a barely acceptable mansion would run at
least 10 million.".
Gamblers are always a bit addled... they insist that they've "won" money
when a running tally of losses and gains would show that nearly all of
them are net losers.
Personally, I'd rather fold the $ up into paper airplanes and sail them
out of a 10th floor window... er, how big is the jackpot this week?

Yes, it's ugly... the library toon tapes I love so much have very dodgy
tracking problems. Once, I had to manually force the source tape into a
better position so I could dub it onto another tape... well, beggars
can't be choosy.

Count me among them... I'll resist spyware, automatic garbageware,
crippleware, and vaporware as long as I'm able. I'll switch to Linux if
I have to.
