Running off to the side and towards the closer of the two will allow you
to put maximum distance between the main collision and those unlucky
enough to think lying down will somehow prevent the locomotives from
being pressed nose-downwards on top of them by the trailing cars, as
anyone who's seen an Amtrak wreck will readily testify.
