> whom we cannot admit, is dead

Everywhere that I turn, are the accusing eyes
of long dead English teachers, mocking me, mocking me-
Oh, the horror.

Let's see:  "We cannot admit whom" makes it objective,
so use "whom"- No, that's not right, "Who is dead",
makes it subject, so it is "who".   Yes, we cannot admit
*the thing*, cannot admit *the truth* , cannot admit
*whatever*, merely about "who", no, "about whom"-
What?

Oh, heck with it.  The poet's patience is exhausted,
pondering these meaningless questions, while the
world dies and  while our country turns into a meaningless
shell of a puppet democracy.
