I have not seen the new "Manchurian Candidate" movie, but
hope that I can pique the curiosity of anyone listening in,
and give a plug for it. Surrealists don't do paid endorsements-
this is just to promote interest in a subject that the public doesn't think
about much, and doesn't know that it needs to think about it,
much more.
Do you remember when I told you that "cold fusion" was a
real science, based on real principles?
I would like to announce also that "mind control", the subject
of "Manchurian Candidate" is also not just a myth.
It is a real science and technology. How far along is it,
really? Is it just a toy, in very early phases, or is it getting
sophisticated enough to a real tool, and a real weapon
for war and/or intrigue?
By the way, you might think that I have something to do
with the many URLs that I list in my postings, or that these
are people with whom I am associated.
I assure you that I have nothing to do with any of them,
and don't know the people who create them, from Adam.
You might also think that all of these are made-up,
but many of them are perfectly real. For example,
when you see a bizarre, comical list of White House conference
participants like this:
Major Paul Bliese
Research Psychologist, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research
Washington DC
Ms. Gayle Bluebird
President, Altered States of the Art
Fort Lauderdale, Fl
Ms. Ethleen Iron Cloud-Two Dogs
Project Director, Children of a Different Way
Porcupine, SD
The Honorable Rudy de Leon
Under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness, Department of Defense
Washington DC
It is a list of real people, at a real White House conference.
The surrealism is real, and is just "out there", so sweet that
you could almost eat it with a spoon.
Same for the stuff about hypnotized Marines doing "YMCA".
and the announcements from YMCA Camp Loowit Events.
Sometime gay men get a laugh about straight family picnics,
etc, where they play "YMCA" and are comically clueless
about its gay theme.
The potential for warfare application is real, too. With
conventional hypnosis, or the kind put on at shows,
you always wonder if it is faked, but the real science
of brain manipulation is way beyond this.
When I first started with "Bird Sightings in Washington, D.C",
I didn't really have much in mind expect a few stale puns
about "hawks" and "doves". Really, I didn't. Shameless,
I know. But I had this funny feeling that there was something
prompting this interest in birds, so I started searching for
more. I never expected to find all this stuff.
I had previously heard of the "BlueBird" project,
but had forgotten about it. That is actually a very old
project, that was replaced by more sophisticated versions.
These projects were not just silly wastes of time and money.
They yielded some fascinating results.
How can I be sure?
Come on, you know, don't make me say it. I don't
want to be like a senile old grandpa repeating shameless
stale puns for the 1,257th time.
Oh, I all right, I give up. I can't stand it. A birdie told me.
A birdie told me!!!! Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.
