Actually, I don't have anything against disco,
it was just a vehicle for the poem.
The BeeGees were always one of my favorite
groups, but I preferred their ballad days, even
though the disco music was bigger, commercially.
I don't quite agree with Robin Gibb's statement
that the people who put down disco were "evil",
but I agree that there was a touch of sheer nastiness
in it, like the Republican party's politics.
Disco? - Heck, I'm so out-of-time that I still like
Big Band music. Got a record recently by
Benny Goodman called "Stereo Stomp"
that was just incredible. When you hear things
for the first time, it is still new to you,
no matter how old it is.
