Here you go! Discreet 3ds Max 6 Reinstall/ReAuthorize
You need to open VVndows Explorer and navigate to the following
directory.
C:\documents and settings\allusers.VVINDOWS\Application
Data\Macrovision\SafeCast\Product Licenses. In this directory, you
will find 2 .dat files with names similar (but not the same as) the
following; B241A000.dat. You need to delete both of these files as
they are what controls the licensing process. Now all you need to do
is launch 3dsmax6. When you do you will get a message that says
something about the license information missing, but this time the
request code it gives you will be 20 digits instead of 28. You then
use the keygen to re-authorize the program and it should open up if
you've done everything properly. The authorization for Character
studio should be the same as it was for the original
install.[/QUOTE][/B]
