Q: What is a crack?
A: A "crack" is either a serial number or other text instructions to
overcome
software limits or an archive consisting of one or more PKZIP compatible
files
with a unique filename containing at a minimum:
(1) a File_id.diz file for automated indexing by ftp site management tools.
(2) a *.nfo file for documenting the contents.
(3) one or more files such as a serial number generator or patcher.
Cracks require skill with a debugger or disassembler. "Brute force" patches
that convert a file from a trial to a retail version require no skill and
are usually larger than the file it is patching. "Brute force" patches are
not cracks.
Cracks are NOT:
(a) shareware (uncracked or not).
(b) commercial software (aka warez).
(c) patched or unpatched copyrighted files.
(d) network security exploits, website passwords or phone network abuse.
(e) a license to steal from a developer. Reward good software by buying it.
Please do not alter the archives, rename them or post "bare" executable
files.
If it is not listed at http://astalavista.box.sk/ or a Dupecheck report
site,
it may not be a valid crack. When in doubt - PLEASE DO NOT POST.
