Please don't worry about using the pirate software I supply. I take
full responsibility (in the unlikely event I have to) and as you say
"it is my machine". If we were running a business, then I would not use
or supply pirate software. When I do set-up a business, I will transfer
all my data onto new machines that have all the necessary software
licenses. At the moment my work with computers is for voluntary groups
and not-for-profit. The issue of software "theft" is not an absolute
issue but depends on what the actual "loss" or "opportunity cost" is to
the owner. Many software pirates such as myself are committed to a
universal operating system platform that is for "social good" and
non-business use. If I were selling pirate software at the full price
and pretending it was genuine, that would be "theft" in some true sense
of the meaning. It is a complex philosophical and sociological issue,
but please do enjoy borrowing my "pirate enabled machines". Away from
the "left-wing arty media crowd" MAC has not been seen as the rival to
windows since 1999 (e.g. once Windows 98 was established). "Pirate"
Windows is actually the only alternative to Windows. We should all be
given damn medals. That is until the right to "free basic operating
systems" is won. Free education and free healthcare were considered
stupid ideas only 100 years ago. The struggle continues...
Best wishes
His Royal Highness Prince Don, young pretender to the Scottish Throne.
