Free Market System threatened by petty thiefs? C'mon!!! My water company wants
to raise rates 30%. They are going to get it. My gas company raised rates 30%
two and a half years ago. Now thet require another 30% raise. My electric
company also is going to raise their rates. USA's prescription drug pricess are
out of control. I can't afford a hockey game anymore. AND CD PRICES ARE TOO
HIGH!!
The corporate end of the free market system is destroying the system. The
demand a high price, and if they can't get it, they run to our government. Is
this the FREE MARKET we have grown to love? I'm telling you, I'm willing to pay
a price for my music. Like the gentleman above mentioned, I am buying more and
more used media. I really don't particularly care for the commercial stuff
currently on the air anyway. Oh and did the free market set the outlandish
prices on a LOSSY MP3 file? You know...the corporate ol' skool mindset needs to
change. The consumer is much more educated now. The consumer has less
discretionary income also.
Why is it other industries: PC, Electronics etc have restructured their prices
in accordance to free market, but the music industry proceeds to treat the
consumer like crap?
