Oh yeah, a followup...
The drummer in my current band has serious timing issues --he's getting
old, he's playing rock when he's an old swing jazz buff...but since this is
a family band, we're all kind of stuck together...
Anyway, because I'm used to playing with metronomes, drum boxes and
especially playing to a drummer, there's less of an issue --I naturally
follow the drummer's lead.
It sounds a lot worse is everyone sticks to his own timing, especially when
the drummer has trouble keeping his...
But when we all follow the drummer, at least we make it through the song...
