Let me just say that you've not heard the entire song. Sure, what
you've heard is slightly repetitious, but the song does go through
changes. The full-length version is 5 minutes in length. This is the
only defense I will offer.

I'm not going to defend the song as to why it is, or isn't a cheesy
ballad, nor will I defend my skills as a songwriter. As I've said, I'll
only defend the comment about the repetition (btw, you are not the first
to comment this, and so I'm already repeating myself with this
defense...hmm, I guess I do have a problem with repetition lol). I
thouroughly believe and have complete faith in my body of work to do
that for me.
As the song climbs higher in the charts (and it will, trust me...it's
done nothing but climb since it's hit the charts), and once it works its
way into the top 10 in the general rock charts, I will release the
full-length version for all to hear. You, of course, do not have to
listen, if you so choose, to that version of the song; that is your
choice. Nor will I think anything less of you; perhaps my style of
songwriting just isn't appealing to you, or perhaps you don't like my
varied tastes in music. There are bound to be those who's opinions vary
from mine.
I can't please everybody all the time with what I do. I must be true
to me; I've no intentions of writing music I hate just to make money.
Sure, I want everyone to like the songs I write, and I want to make
money with those very songs, but I have to like them first. And if I
can't write songs I like, then I'll not write songs at all.
That said, again I encourage everyone to listen to the song I am
offering, and tell me what you honestly think of the song thus far, both
good and bad. I will repeat myself one more time - what you will hear is
NOT the full-length song. Yet. It's gotta make the top 10 first.
Thanks for your comments, Scube.
