Rediscovery, possibly, I heard about it long before the WWW even
existed, when I was at university in the 70s from a German student.
Perhaps it was something which got buried in the hysteria (or never made
it significantly out of Germany). The same person also pointed out the
German name for it (which, since I knew virtually no German at the time,
I hadn't heard before then) and its derivation.
I'd never heard of that website until now...
