Actually, that's 50 UK pounds (about 72 Euro today), and yes,
this is extra. "One off" means that you only pay this once,
unlike the 119.64 UKP that you have to pay every year for web
hosting.

I'm not a database expert, but if I understand this properly,
what they offer is a sample SQL database which you can use to
develop applications. The applications will be of no real use
unless you have a real database of your own to point them at -
they obviously can't provide your data for you. That would mean
having your own server with a permanent Internet connection, in
which case you probably wouldn't need to buy web hosting from
DotNet Hosting UK.
It all sounds quite expensive to me, but I've never wanted to
have a web site with all these features.
