I do not know about the word that appeared in NY Times, but an Indian
newspaper, the Hindustan Times, seems to have reported the inclusion
of the neologism "metrosexual" as a "yuppie" who spends too much time
dressing up, is narcisistic by disposition and eats prudishly being
cautious of his weight.
