My dad (1917-2001) used to used to have an expression he used
frequently. It't meaning would be close to "Holy Smokes!" He grew up
in the Philladelphia PA area, and i would immagine that it was an
expression he probably heard growing up. I really have no idea how it
might be correctly spelled. That is, if there is a correct spelling.
Phonetically it is close to cry - min - ANT - lees the primary
accent is on the third sylable with a minor secondary accent on the
first.
I was wondering if any of you have ever heard an expression like this.
Any idea as to its origin, or other info about it, or if you have any
ideas on how to invistagate it further.
