I understand your point, and was in now way refuting your point. It's
good that you're an experienced administrator who knows their way around
viruses; most people aren't. Furthermore, from my experience with CD
hacks, a lot of them do contain viruses. If you've already run it
through the most current AV software, though, then I guess that's all
you could do if you insist on running the hack. I, on the other hand,
would still be raising hell with the game manufacturer, or at least try
and exchange it for one that works, with (hopefully) a valid CD key.
