Hmmm...split screens on a PC? Split screens are usually reserved for
consoles on a TV. Multiplayer PC games are usually networked for different
computers. But, that said, I know of a few.
The first is bargain bin racing game called US Racer. The car physics are
pretty crappy, but the tracks and environments are real pretty. I bet you
can find it in a discount bin or online for less than 10 bucks. It supports
split screen multiplay.
However, the most fun you can have with another human being sitting at the
same keyboard and PC monitor has got to be GLTron, which is a free download
at www.gltron.org . Did I mention it's free? It's an absolutely beautiful
3D rendition of the lightcycle race from the movie Tron. The download is a
little over 3 megs, so you don't even need broadband. This much fun for free
ought to be illegal.
Be warned, it is a major addiction.
