Together with any taste the roast beef might have brought to the
sandwich.  :P

Smoked salmon doesn't taste like fish at all. Suggesting such a thing
only proves that you haven't tasted it.  :P
And it doesn't require a plethora of other ingredients to make the
sandwich edible either, like your pickled roastburger thingy.
