Hey guys, I started playing RuneScape approximately a year ago,
finding it quite fun and a way to pass time. Until it became an
addiction because I just couldn't earn enough money. It was just too
hard at such a low level of 64 to earn a good income for luxuries. I
tried mining coal, merchanting or flipping runes, and even pking in
the wilderness which didn't work as I had hoped for. I was determined
to find a better way of earning money. And I found it.
My friend recently became a player moderator and together we were
still in awe just at the fact of being selected to moderate the game.
Of course to my dismay, being a moderator wasn't anything more than a
new mute button (which I admit was quite fun), an intensive report
system, and a shiny crown beside the username. That was until we
visited the moderation center. There was a whole mods only forum, tips
and tricks for money, quest guides, and more. And then on that page
was a link to the administrator page. Of course those are only for the
golden crowned moderators. So we dismissed that thought and enjoyed
the abilities of the mod center. After a while though, it became quite
dull and the old routines returned the normal, mining endlessly for
scraps of gold. One day, we became especially curious about the
administrator page I had recalled and we went back to explore it. But
much to our dissapointment, it was password protected. But heres the
thing, I believe this is the one and only glitch Jagex has ever
overlooked. In our frustration, we continuously clicked in the login
button, and wham! It brought us to a whole new page. An awesome page,
and an unbelieve page. We finally understood why moderators were not
allowed to talk about the mod center without fearing the possibility
of being demodded. (Try it yourself, ask a mod about the mod center
and they will either become dramatically silent, or just say no.)
We began using the page right away to our benefit and have been using
it for a month. We got a bit annoyed at some new players who kept
asking where we got rich. And finally we have revealed the truth
together, but only for a week at a time if not someone will most
probably catch on. The link is ridiculously easy to guess and we were
surprised at the simplicity of the concept. It was quite ingenius in
all its worth.
