Yeah, the darn things are expensive. Start wishing for a good old fashioned
price-war between ATI and nVidia... <grin>. The cards that are top-end now,
will be quite a bit cheaper by next spring- so that should help some, if you
wait. Also, Doom3 will be quite playable on video cards that are less than
top-end... you just won't get all of the fancy stuff at the higher
resolutions.
The old price-performance trade-off.
