Game of the year is a stamp of approval by some shady
magazine/website/developer to boost sales. But Deus Ex has been by many
gamers voted as one of the best games ever made. Gameplay is first-person
shooter (fps) with an element of roleplaying. You have to decide where your
stats go, making for a very open way to complete the game.
Me myself didn't like Deus Ex too much, played a couple of hours before
growing tired. But I like my fps rpgs to have a little more depth, but hey
thats just me, millions of gamers loves this game. Game of the year also
means the game have to be around 1 year or older. (In this case it's quite
"old")
I think it's worth the $9.99 if you like fps's.
The 14.99 deal is probably just some old sheit the store has forgotten
about, nevermind that limited edition.
