They haven't, last reports claim that the mack and friends have included a
working model of multiplay with solo and team deathmatch and a CTF type
game. At the minute from what I understand it is still undergoing final
testing which I am sure the ppl at ID just hate to do ;p. Final verdict,
wait and see, it will be here before long but only at the time it will make
the biggest market impact and since this is unlikely to happen before HL2
then we will just have to be patient and hold on to some money just for D3.
