Chronicles of Riddick doesnt work, game shut down to xp. (alt.games)

Hi,

I just bought the pc game Chronicles of Riddick: escape from butcher bay,
but the game shuts down afther the first moviescene. My pc does meet all the
requirements on the box. I have xp, what's wrong and do i need a patch?
