A little up date about Winona's movies on Blu-Ray, because prices are
coming down and fast. ----- When Blu-Ray players came I didn't buy one
because of the high prices of the movies and the player itself. -----
Well "Beetlejuice" came out on Blu-Ray back in October 2008. Well that
did it for me I had to jump into Blu-Ray because "Beetlejuice" is one of
my favorite Winona Ryder films, I paid the high price $28.99. Now you
can find the movie at Amazon.com for just $10. :) ----- Then October
2008 "Edward Scissorhands" came out on Blu-Ray and the price was
surprisingly reasonable, just $14! ----- Then "Bram Stoker's Dracula" in
October 2008 also for the high price of $24.96, now at Amazon.com you
came get it for just $9.99! ----- Ever since that time I decided to wait
and see if the price of other Winona movies on Blu-Ray would become
reasonable. ----- Well I got a great surprise Sunday night. ----- I got
off work last night at 10:30 and still had time to check out Zia
Records, a store that sells vinyl, VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray (all new and
used) ----- They had a table full of brand new Blu-Rays, and
son-of-a-gun. I found "Heathers" for just $9.99 (Amazon.com also has it
for $9.99 now instead of $27.99), and "A Scanner Darkly" for just $11.99
instead of $26.99 (Amazon.com now has the movie for just $7.99). -----
Other movies of Winona's that are on Blu-Ray, but still overpriced,
"The Last Word", "Sex and Death 101", and "Star Trek". I'll wait for
those prices to drop also. ----- And the best news lately, for all of
our members who might never get to see "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee"
in a local theater. ----- Good news ----- You won't have long to wait to
get to see it. The movie comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray February 16, 2010.
------ :) ----- That makes eight of Winona's movies on Blu-Ray so far
and one on the way. ----- :) Rusty
