I think that it would also be best to note, in regard to exhibiting
the "classics" that each day there are new visitors who, much perhaps
as I did so long ago, are wandering the rain soaked, chilly streets,
peering into one gallery and book shop after another, continually
searching, perpetually disappointed in the hopes of discoving a
special place where their loneliness might be consoled, their love
embraced rather than rejected ... then suddenly to discover it, for
the very first time, here in our little Gallery.
So I would implore you more experienced viewers ... do not become
jaded in your disdain and criticism for the old but embrace these
vintage images with the excitement and enthusiasm that raced through
your veins when you, too, were a lonely neophyte.
Alright! End of lecture.
Welcome, any new friends!
God Save Her Majesty the Queen.
God Preserve the Prince of Wales.
