looking for old groups, the ones I remember are inactive. May have some
share but this doesn't seem to be the group I should be in. Are news groups
a thing of the past?

It seems that way. All groups are dying a slow death.
Old guys are dead and young ones don't care
There are active groups, though
BUT they are private and the participants are
NOT saying where they are. It's a shame guys will
not list their locations.
