Careening down a slide starkers might appear to be fun. However, when
one considers physics, it becomes apparent such could be a rather
unpleasant experience. Unless either the bum or the slide is
well-lubricated, I suspect friction would prevent much downward
progress.
Even with a lubricant, the metal slide, exposed to the hot sun, would
make the trip excruciating. It would be a lesson taught but once ...
the excruciating results insuring no further attempt would be made
sans pants!
And so it is here ... much heat and little lubricant.
