Hello Double V,
I'm not sure about your assertions, but I'm definitely your friend.
You use the term argument, and I understand your context, but I've
never once imagined we were arguing. I've always considered our banter
a warm exchange of ideas and opinions. What started out as a few
buddies shooting the breeze ended up benefitting others. It has drawn
several of us closer and allowed me to make some new acquaintances
that I hope to turn into friends.

Maybe this e-mail was aimed at someone else, but I feel no competition
with you, only camaraderie. You are a treasure and your posts are a
celebration of the English language.
So I tip a glass of port to you on this Friday night. A toast to
Victor, my friend and most civilised of boylovers. Who will join me?
Cheers!
