For Pete's sake, when I was ten EVERY boy had a knife. And most of
them took them to school along with their yo-yo and deck of naked lady
playing cards they'd swiped after Dad's poker night. My Dad had a
knife wherever he went as a kid, including school and church. The only
difference between today and then is if my Dad or me had been
disrespectful to the teacher we'd have had our heads stoved in. A good
whooping would cure a six year old boy of a lot of bad habits.
I raised three kids of my own and I only had to resort to corporal
punishment seven times between the three. The simple threat of it
worked thereafter. As regard my loved boys, I daresay that spanking
Bone or Mac would only encourage them.
