Dearest Double V,
I am nowhere near my dotage, I can tell you. I kept up with not one,
but TWO teenagers for over a week and survived to tell the tale. Sure,
a couple of times my blood pressure rose precipitously and I feared a
stroke or a pulmonary embolism, but it didn't happen! I tapped you on
the shoulder because a wondrously beautiful young boy was pedalling by
on a bicycle and I thought you'd want to see him. But by the time you
regained consciousness he was long gone.
I had the immeasurable pleasure of seeing and meeting some of your
fellow countrymen last week. I saw Libera in concert with our good
friend 4s00th. A lovely man, he. One of the boys in the 'band' is the
younger brother of one of my online boys. I met him for the first time
and we had the chance to talk a bit. LOVE those British accents. I
don't know if you've taken in a show back home or not, but I heartily
recommend it. I spoke for quite some time to Joshua Madine, now 16. He
looks a few years younger. What a great kid. He is so comfortable in
his own skin. Though I fear the guy behind me creeped him out a bit.
That guy was a little too fawning. Josh has the most amazing grey
eyes. They are hypnotic. I was warned ahead of time about Mrs.
G-------, who stood watch, vulture like, over the boys. I handed her a
donation and she was completely indulgent of me thereafter. I rather
liked her actually. I wish I had her job, I can tell you. The voices
were heavenly and the sights were better than heaven could possibly
be. If I could be the pilot from 'Lord of the Flies' on a deserted
island with Libera, well nothing could be better. I would only pretend
to be feverish and delirious so they would take good care of me. ;)
So, my good friend Victor, please give a goodnight kiss from me to all
those lovely British boys. I hope to have ready this weekend a story
I'm writing about you and Edward V. It will be historically accurate,
but have a happier ending.
Much love and infection,
Doc
