If you would be so kind as to do me the favour of noting
Any error of identification that I have made
And
If you've any fills,
Your contribution of them would be
Greatly Appreciated!
Lewis Wickes Hine
American
Amazingly--might I even say nearly miraculously--prolific during the waning years of the Victorian Era.
His primary work was social documentation in both the United States and Europe,
His subject matter oft' included the social situation of children,
And in this sense was a revolutionary in the genre.
Given the rather "rough" circumstance in which he plied his trade,
The sensitivity and striking clarity of his images are yet worthy of
Admiration.
