Some of what you say, strangely enough, I agree with.
Becoming a Christian may give you forgiveness with God, but in this world we
still have to take our punishment.
I think I made that point recently in the 'Pray for Ray' thread, but I will
agree with you that many of my brethren who are not attentive to certain
points of scripture and think in a pious, but oversentimental way, also
believe that the courts should be very forgiving of offenders. Many are
against the death penalty, or hard labour over long prison terms.
But what you sow, you reap. We're not in heaven yet and the tears we deserve
to cry are not wiped away yet.
