Grapefruits do not actually cause acid indigestion, that's the funny part.
People with acid stomachs fear them because they are an acidic tasting
citrus fruit, but I know of little better to quell acid indigestion than
grapefruit juice.
Try it next time you have a stomache ache, and you'll be amazed. It is
completely couter-intuitive, but it works.
The best way to have a grapefruit is to eat it peeled, like an orange and
leave on a bit of the pith, which is more roughage and makes you feel
fuller. I do not recommend eating grapefruit peel, as this also contains the
pesticides and the wax that are used for cosmetic reasons.
