You are saying that your God or 'the creator' to use the same word you said
is within the creation, and accused me of having a God which was from inside
a book, rather than my heart or soul.
I think that from my perspective you are believing in a sort of impersonal
God which is inside an object, in your own words 'within everything and
everyone' in the creation. The God I believe in doesn't dwell inside the
creation, although he did get born 2000 odd years ago of a woman so that he
could get inside the creation he had made. Per se, he is the creator and is
no more 'inside' the creation he has made than a potter is 'inside' the clay
pot he turns on the wheel. Sure he 'puts something of himself' into the clay
pot, but you will not find the potter inside the pot. You will not find the
emperor Ming lurking inside a Ming vase.
Your world view is part of a very ancient worldwide type of religion which
has God or gods as an intrinsic part of the Creation, rather than above and
beyond it. It is therefore natural for you to think that someone with my
world view has minimised God into the contents of a book. In fact what that
book teaches is that God is outside the creation. He made it, but is himself
independent of it and holds it in his hand. It is maximising, not
minimising, God that we are about. To us, a God that is only part of
creation doesn't answer the question of where it all came from and who/what
is outside it all. What does your world view say about that question?
