Why? If his wife did that to him, was only with him while it suited her, and
then divorced him when he got ill, and could provide in the style she had
become accustomed, then where's the difference between her and a common
prostitute, who is only with you for the money?
I think the comparison is perfectly fair. I'm sure if Charles had realised
what she was gonna do with him, he wouldn't have married her.
But we never know these things until it's too late.
