my thoughts. But what I am not going to do is plough through it, find what I
think it is you are trying to get someone to comment on, and then make a
stab at answering whatever your point is.

Both can not and cannot are acceptable - and synonymous - at least in
English. I am guessing, given that most here are, that you are american, and
therefore may well be using a slightly different language from myself.
