He's talking about a class of adverbs that go before other adverbs or before
adjectives.
I can say for example 'he's driving fucking slowly' - the slowly is the main
adverb, and the 'fucking' is an intensifier. It doesn't mean that while he's
driving he's having slow sexual intercourse with someone.
That would be quite dangerous and Uncle Davey doesn't recommend it in a
moving vehicle.
