Hold the phone! Let's explore this one a bit. What's your evidence that
the bible tells us about mitochondria?
This reminds me of so many fundamentalists of various religions, who
hold up their favorite sacred book's supposed mentions of various modern
scientific knowledge as evidence for divine origin of the work in
question. Just last month we had a muslim apologist going on about the
Quran's supposed advanced knowledge of embryology.
How is it, by the way, that mitochondria are life, as opposed to all the
other parts of a cell and/or body? Why is cellular respiration the
crucial element?
And how is it also, by the way, that mitochrondrial genomes show so much
similarity to those of bacteria, especially gram-negative bacteria,
rather than to those of other eukaryotes?
