The us and eu servers mirror each other. They have exactly the same
news article numbers, so you can swap between them without having to
purge all the headers and download new ones. So they also should have
exactly the same newsgroups, although I have not checked that.
There is normally no point in setting up your newsreader to use both
the us and eu servers, as you would then be downloading exactly the
same headers from both, so what you should do is use the one
geographically closest to you, and if it has problems, just change the
address to the other one while the problems are happening, then change
back again when they are fixed.
After the old news.easynews.com servers are shut down, the
news.easynews.com address will be changed to point to the server that
Easynews thinks is geographically closest to you. After that happens,
and if you have not noticed, you will have terrible problems using the
news.easynews.com address as all your stored headers will not match.
So if you want to keep on using that address, you will need to purge
all your headers and download new ones.
