I'm not sure if having SuperNews as your newsgroup access is your choice or
it is the default choice of your ISP, t-online, but that is your problem.
SuperNews restricts binary attachments to the alt.binaries hierarchy. Any
picture posted to alt.fan hierarchy is not carried by SuperNews, only the
text portion.
