blink. blink. Snap!....ahh. I have arisen from my hypnotic torpor. I
did download the cricket thingy, but had forgotten it (the incipient
Alzheimer's you know) and must find it and play it....thanks.
By the way, I've sent some hagiographic-like musings your way on the b
channel...
Had the windshield wipers (feel free to substitute the British equivalent
verbiage - windscreen cleaners??) going yesterday so our heat wave is
suspended for the time being.
As for the Adiemus music, it's nice to sleep with or do things with....a bit
hypnotic though as you mention for straight-up listening. Do you like Ella
Fitzgerald?......Dave Matthews has a new CD out "Busted Stuff" in which he
does some very Ella-like voice work in a couple of songs. He's an acquired
taste, though. I like him and his band a lot; they are excellent musicians
all. I'll dig that out and post it. He's quite poetic.
I read some more poems by the newly appointed American Poet Laureate, Donald
Hall and decided that he's too morose. I don't need to be any more depressed
than I am now....
Found another poet who was being featured on a rare instance of good TV in
the land. Her name is Kay Ryan, and I'm going to be looking at some more of
her stuff. She is very economical with words and very to the point. From
what I've seen some nice stuff.
As for the goings on in these usenet parts they seem to have settled down to
one or two obsessives. What on earth they think they are accomplishing is
utterly beyond me. Oh, oh, there I go, using the T word again. Think? Not
blooding fucking likely (as your lot says)....lol
Be of good cheer.
