Solomon's Private File #398
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in the
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 33 in this story, in the Fall of 2059.

Raminor said very excitedly to me, "I can live with you!" I said,
"Well, I hope so. Dying with me would be a little awkward." He said,
"Sometimes you can be very frustrating!" I said, "Thank you." He
laughed. I said, "But only sometimes?" He said, "That's alright!" I
said, "Notice anything unusual around here?" He said, "No." I said,
"Good. You weren't supposed to. Let's go find out why." We went to a
room in the basement, and he was VERY surprised. There was a boy his
age there. I said, "Raminor, meet Manchin, a student of mine." He said,
"He's like me!" They ran to each other and hugged. When they separated,
he said, "There's something wrong with this room. I feel strange. My
head feels tight and mushy." I said, "The walls are covered with layers
of metal and cloth. That blocks your mental senses. In here, you can
practice some things without the distraction that can come from other
minds. But not often. Unpleasant to us here." He said, "Yes. Can we
leave?" We went back up to the penthouse.
I showed them a room, and said, "Here is where you will sleep. A
little. When you have time." Grins. He said, "Two beds. They were here
before. You planned this." I said, "Thank you for telling me what I
did." Grins and pokes. I said, "It won't bother me if they aren't used.
At your age, I was just as comfortable on the floor. You are both
thinking of something you are a little reluctant to ask me about. You
know I know it's our nature to not be alone, even in sleep." They were
relieved, and grinned to each other, and hugged again. I said, "Manchin
has no family. Had." Nods. More hugs.
I said, "There are new things here that are to remain a secret, for
two reasons. One, is people won't believe you. And the other is, you
might not, either." Grins. I took them to another room, which was like
a modern Earth Guardian bathroom. I showed them how it functioned, and
they were all amazed. I said, "Our servants here know of it, but won't
go inside. And it's self cleaning. No others are to know." Manchin
said, "Nobody would believe it!" Raminor said, "Is this one of the
things we aren't supposed to ask about, until we know more?" I said,
"You know it is. Oh, don't be sad. When you CAN understand it, you
will. There's something else. You should have no secrets between you.
Manchin?" He said to Raminor, "How I arrived here. I'm from another
land very far away. It would take months to travel here. I was there
yesterday, and I'm here today. No, I don't know how it happened, just
that Solomon did it instantly." Raminor said, "Wow! But wait, do they
speak a different language there?" He said, "We do. Solomon taught me
this one with a crystal." Raminor said, "Oh! Convenient, that." Grins.
I said, "Both of you can see auras sometimes. Mine, more often."
Raminor said, "It's bigger." I looked down and then at him, and said,
"You mean the aura?" They laughed. I said, "Today, that might change.
You know of chakras. I'll align yours now." Raminor was the first. I
asked him to lie down on the bed. I said, "In this, some can become
aroused. Don't worry about it if it happens." He shifted his clothing
to make room for it. I nodded. Then I did it, and discussed what I was
doing. He did have an erection, and nothing was thought of it. He said,
"I can sense more, and more clearly!" I said, "That's the goal. You are
near to being able to use your abilities fully." Then Manchin, with the
same results. I said, "You are sensing each other's feelings more
intensely. I'll leave you to er, reduce some of that before lunch."
Grins, without embarrassment.
At lunch, after the servants left, Raminor said, "I still find it
strange that we can live so openly with sexual things." Manchin said,
"It's like we're naked to each other all the time." I said, "With your
senses, you are. Clothes don't cover anything to us. Adds some color,
though, and pockets and pouches are a little useful." Smiles. Raminor
said, "Your explanation of the variance in methods of sexual
stimulation even applies to this mutual use, but differently." I said,
"You know about resonance in sound." They nodded. I said, "It applies
to sexual things as well with us, because we feel what the other person
feels, and that person feels what we feel, which includes what we feel
of that person. And it's not just emotions we feel, but some of the
sensations of the body, too. That continues in resonance, and with some
amplification. We can't do that without love, and love causes it to
happen. Another kind of resonance. We feel the need for in it others,
as our own, so it calls to us to satisfy it. Need to, actually, or it
will become too distracting." Manchin said, "That's true! I feel all
that. It's like we have to do it, as part of who we are." Raminor said,
"Yes. Natural to us, but other people will never understand it. So they
shouldn't know. We both are attracted only to girls, yet we do this who
didn't know of each other only minutes ago. It's not really about sex
to us, but love and sharing the maintaining of our bodies, which we
feel are almost our own. Is that true with people of other lands like
us?" I said, "It is. But most often those like us that are not my
students, exist in isolation, and don't know of this. Our abilities at
this level are very rare, as little as one per nation."
Manchin said, "That's sad. I wish we could do something about this."
I said with a smile, "We are. Every journey, even the greatest, begins
with one step. Learn all you can, and someday you might do for others,
what I'm doing for you." We hugged with tears.
I said, "Raminor, tell me what your parents said about you living
here." He said, "It's my apprenticeship. They usually live with the
master, for more teaching. But in this, they know I will be learning
more than just one trade, that I will learn from you every minute. They
see what you did for Marcel. They want that for me." I said, "You will
still visit them, as is your duty." He looked at Manchin, and said,
"They will see I have brought them a new son, my brother." Nods and
hugs. I said, "A caution. How you are with each other should be more
er, controlled with those other than us. Your father thought there was
something sexual between us. Better to not let that happen with
others." Manchin said, "Oh! Yes, we should be careful. But we have to
be secret. How can we ever have wives?" I said, "It can happen with
wives who are not of us, after a lot of help in understanding. But you
will have students of your own. You know what will happen." Grins. I
said, "Usually, children of those like us, are not like us, but there
is a greater chance of having children like us, if our wives are the
same. A one in four or twelve chance. Hmm, practice is indicated."
Grins.
I said, "There are other differences. Most with these abilities are
not able to learn to make them reliable. Most of the few who are, are
not intelligent enough to learn how they work, and so can't advance
further as you will." Raminor said, "Oh! It's not just talent. We have
to be able to learn well, too." I said, "Isn't that usually the way it
is?" Nods. I said, "My students of this usually attend a special
school. Those who can't, usually start their own school, after a
teacher teaches them where they are. I see you both want to go to such
a school. You know transportation is not a problem." Grins. I said,
"But being able to breathe the same air, is." Manchin said, "A
different world?" I said, "More than one, yes. If you progress far
enough, you might be able to visit them yourself. Some motivation
solutions for those who are able. You might want to work on that." Awe
and grins.
They practiced martial arts and PK and projection, and read books on
medicine. They didn't need me for that. I worked with the former
Chairman in getting the rental offices part of the building ready for
use. He was amazed at the plumbing, and how complicated it was. And
each suite of offices had a well ventilated fireplace, and something
like a kitchen. I visited a doctor in his home. I said, "You have a lot
of patients. It's difficult to travel to all of them, and carry what
might be needed with you. What if they could come to you?" He said, "In
my home? I don't have room for that, and my family would be very
opposed to having sick people here." I said, "If you had an office in a
building that is for doctors?" He said, "Regular hours?" I said, "Other
than for emergences, that would be the case." He said, "I would need to
see it. What would it cost?" I said, "The first year, nothing. I
realize you might not see the advantages of this without experiencing
them. When you do, reasonable rent will apply if you stay. I will be
offering this to other doctors and midwives. There is room for many.
Who first takes advantage of this, will have their choice of offices."
He grinned, and said, "You know I can't refuse this. I don't know who
could. It's almost too good to be true."
I said, "Yes, there is another condition. Interesting expression." He
chuckled. I said, "I teach. Those who do not attend, will not be
allowed to stay. And I have two young students, who are available to
assist, and specifically to learn." He said, "It is known you are a
great teacher. This subject, too?" I said, "I know people. This is part
of it." He said, "Oh you DO! I'm available now. The office?" Grins, and
we went. He was very impressed. Then he said, "What is this?" I said,
"You know of the spyglass?" He said, "It makes distant things appear
closer." I said, "It seems that way, but they just make the image
larger to your eye. This instrument, with lenses arranged differently,
is similar in making things larger to our vision, but not from a
distance, but from close up. Look through the eyepiece at this section
of cloth." He did, and said, "Wow!" I said, "I hear that a lot."
Chuckles. I said, "I will be teaching the use of this, in medicine. You
will be astounded at what it will reveal, just of blood alone." He
said, "You won't be teaching this outside of this establishment?" I
said, "How would that be possible?" He said, "I understand. Even
without this, I would demand to be involved. If you had told me of this
kind of force." He said, "I should have known. Oh!" I said, "So you
just discovered the arrangement."
He said, "You told the criminals to not attack doctors!" I said, "And
midwives, who may also have offices here, if available. If you would
also like to hire them as assistants when they're not working, that
would be an efficient use of their time and knowledge." He said, "I
grinned, and said, "I know the feeling, but a little frustration is
good for you." He had to laugh. I said, "When you come to know my young
students, you will know more about me. A hint. The criminal leaders
actually offered to protect them." He was very surprised, and said,
"They know more of you than the rest of us?" I said, "The criminals?
With what I've done to them to earn their respect, yes, a little. Such
things you wouldn't want to experience." He laughed. I said, "One of
them died recently. No, I didn't do it, but I did assist the one who
replaced him, in the doing of it, slightly. Better knowledge of a
weapon, that I knew would then be used for that, the situation between
them being what it was. That new leader is in my debt, and knows it."
He said, "The old leader wouldn't cooperate with you?" I said, "One of
three, correct. Not intelligent enough to understand why he should. New
one does. Best if this isn't mentioned elsewhere." He said, "I agree. I
might owe my life to your work in this!"
He said, "I will have this office." I said, "May I tell others you
will?" He grinned, and said, "You may. The more I know of you, the more
impressed I am. You plan VERY well!" I said, "Thank you. I try. We are
still a month away from the opening. Gives you time to pass the word.
Helpful for your patients to know where you actually are, before they
need to." He said with a grin, "Absolutely!"
I played back that meeting to the boys. They had some wows to offer
for it. I visited a lot of other doctors and midwives. Some weren't
interested. Those who asked to see the offices, wanted them. No big
surprise. The boys were almost continuously astounded with what they
are learning of science, culture, and math. I said to them, "Our next
experiments are too dangerous to do here. But first, you will learn to
talk mind to mind. Yes, minds can talk." Grins. They learned mindtalk
quickly, using mental images. Then I ported us to an uninhabited area,
and they learned molecular manipulation. A lot of wows there. The next
day we did applications of that. They loved flying on broomsticks.
The grand opening of the medical office building wasn't announced
like a party, but the whole country knew about it. Doctors had a lot of
business, and didn't complain at all. Midwives helped, and loved
getting paid for it. At first, some of them resisted my teaching
efforts, but eventually wanted to participate. I'm teaching them
microbiology. Germ theory was a big eye opener to them. Then they knew
why they had fireplaces in their offices. Sterilization. When they
practiced good hygiene, they did notice less infections. That sold
them. None of them want to miss a class now. They know more about the
boys now, and sometimes ask them for assistance. The boys only tell
them something they should know about the patients, in private, which
the doctors appreciate. They have a kind of giant spider cocoon silk
that's very good for sutures. They dissolve after a few months, if
soaked in vinegar before using. I made some surgical tools. Manager
hired some staff to take care of them, and other things. He's too busy
to know he's loving the work.
Marcel and wife are expecting a child. No big surprise. But there was
one. I said to him, "You know of my two young students." He said, "More
than others do, I expect. Amazing!" I said, "Your child will apprentice
be like them?" I said, "Yes, I see it. And I don't think it was
chance." He said, "Mysterious ways." I said, "Has to be. I'm not
complaining." He said, "Neither am I!" Grins and a hug. He said, "Will
we have more?" I said, "Children? I think so. That's all I almost know
about that." He said, "Emermis is more appreciative of you than she and
I thought possible. She realizes now what you've done for me and us.
But this new thing with doctors, has everybody in awe!" I said, "So?"
He laughed.
He said, "With your new students, and that you are able to teach
them, shows me more of you than I ever thought possible. You're not
just holy, you're close to God!" I said, "Not too difficult to be close
to a being that's everywhere." He said, "Frustrating, but true. Are you
always in this form?" I said, "No. Sometimes I stand." He said, "You're
not being able to lie is good for me." I said, "I hope not." Grins. He
said, "Do you use other bodies of different kinds of people?" I said,
"Nice weather we're having." He laughed. I said, "You still don't know.
I could be playing with you." He said, "Do your students know?" I said,
"They wouldn't tell you if they did. I can tell you they haven't asked.
And you shouldn't give them reasons to. They don't need more than the
usual frustrations." He grinned and nodded.
On the way to the door, he said, "I didn't see your transportation."
I said, "Good. It wasn't there to see. That candelabra is bent." He
said, "It was dropped. I should have asked if you would fix it." I
said, "Alright." We hugged, and I walked out. He ran to get the silver
piece, and just stared at it. It wasn't bent anymore. Then he ran to
the door, and couldn't find me outside. He spent much of the rest of
the day trying to hide his almost constant grin.
