Solomon's Private File #356
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 31 in this story, in the Fall of 2057.

I said to the Boss, "Going to be a supernova here. Got plans for it?
I ask, because a couple of nice civilizations are going to be wiped out
by it. He said, "The change in brightness will cause a chain of events
that will cause some very favorable results in these other
civilizations." We compared specifics and projections. I said, "Better,
I see. Waste needed?" He said, "Can be preserved, here." I said,
"Another galaxy! Entire solar systems? How do I do THAT!" He laughed,
and said, "You will." Then He was gone.
I scouted around that galaxy for locations that would be suitable for
the placement of the two solar systems to be moved. I found them. I
couldn't port them, even if I used dimensional relays, due to the
noticeable time duration, and I really didn't want to do that to the
suns. I could create them in place, easily. Duplicate planets, too. I
could even restore the spirits of the animals. Could I do that to the
people? How much different could that be, from the animals? Boss didn't
comment. I was annoyed. I knew He knew that.
I decided to experiment. I selected a person who was going to die,
who should die. I ported him away from the action, and created a new
body for him in its place, almost instantly. Then I destroyed his
original body, and captured his spirit, and immediately, shoved it into
his new body. I had extended my time, so I could watch what happened
closely. I saw the spirit attach to the body, and just how it did it,
instantly, and he never noticed it, even in the tiniest memory or
sensory input. Then he died as he should, and I watched what happened
to the spirit more closely than I had ever before. So that's what
happens! Even in Limbo, he had no memory or awareness that anything
unusual had happened in his death.
I said, "Permission?" He said with love and approval, "Granted." I
said, "Thanks Boss." It wasn't going to be easy. Scanning a planet,
even a solar system, in the time dived past is easy. No need to hurry.
But spirits of people aren't the same there, and I didn't want them to
notice anything. And then, they knew the stars where they were. One of
the planets even had some science. They were NOT to know about the
move, so I had to change all they knew about that, instantly, and that
included their instruments, art, and documents. Awkward!
I set in my mind all the parameters I would use, and the procedures.
I set up programs, and some reflexes for possible emergencies. I
selected a few hundred orphan stars for energy taps. I made the virtual
connections. I extended my time to the utmost, and triggered the start
of it. Then it was done. I checked. The old planets were gone. The new
locations had suns and planets were they had not been before, and all
were in their proper orbits, and weather patterns were uninterrupted.
The memories of the people showed no evidence of the move. Their
records all reflected the current information. Then I noticed one
woman's spirit hadn't moved to the new body. By reflex, I found it in
Limbo, and grabbed it, and stuffed it back into her body. All that,
including the move, happened in a time so small, it couldn't be
measured by anybody but me and the Boss. I checked her again, and she
was right in place, and normal.
Then I said, "Oops! Er, I should have asked. But it happened so
want to put me out of a job, would you?" I said, "Absolutely not!" He
said, "I know, the sex." We shared our laughter.
I shifted to a very nice planet, a lot like Earth. I was in my usual
form, and the native people looked enough like humans, I wouldn't be
noticed for being different. Not so the Originators among them, who
used tech generated illusions to disguise how they looked, which was
reptilian. They had secret bases on the other planets and moons in the
system, but their HQ was in a big building in the most important city
on the world, which they owned. I walked into the lobby, and said to
the receptionist, "I am Solomon. I want to speak with Hissmomem." That
I said it in his Originator language, unsettled him greatly. And that
he could see I had a stone, and that my aura was gigantic, really
didn't make that any less. He was almost in a panic, and almost
squeaked in saying, "How do you know our language!" I said, "Very well,
thank you. Please announce me." He said, "She's not here." I said, "Do
NOT ever lie to me again! I can see her." He was even more surprised.
And practically paralyzed.
I said, "For an Originator, you're not showing well. Have you tried
thinking, recently?" He gulped air, and said, "Who are you?" I said, "I
told you. Is your memory defective? I'm Solomon. Announce me. Unless
you would like me to surprise her. But then, what would she think of
you?" That woke him up a little. He pushed a button, and said, "Please
inform the Leader that a person is here who wants to speak with her. He
looks like a native, but he has a stone, and his aura is bigger than I
ever thought one could be, and he knows who we are, and our language.
No, I am NOT joking!" He said to me, "You may use that elevator." I
said, "You might have been more believed, if you hadn't been a little
too annoying with your jokes in the past." It shouldn't have been
possible, but he was even more surprised.
I emerged from the elevator on the top floor, and six armed guards
jumped at me. I went through them, literally. I made me unreal to them
in matter, but real to their perceptions. They were dumfounded. I
walked past the surprised secretary, and into the leader's office. The
guards rushed in behind me, all banging into each other. I said to her,
"I suggest you tell them to leave, if you want to be as annoying as
they are. You wouldn't want them to witness what I would do about
that." She smiled, and told them to leave.
I said, "I am Solomon. You were told to leave this world. You
haven't. Why?" She said, "We are still needed. Who are you to tell us
what to do?" I said, "I'm not surprised you would say that, who
disobeys God's orders. Why have you told some of the governments here,
that you exist?" She said, "It was necessary, for us to do what was
required." I said, "No it wasn't. Necessary, no. More convenient, yes.
NO other species is to know that Originators exist. You have failed
this species. You have failed God. You have failed as Originators. What
have you to say about this?" She said, "Who ARE you?" I said, "I
already know who I am. Answer my question, or I will compel you."
She tried to attack me with all her psionic abilities. Then she
called on the all the others to join her. I was unaffected. It stopped
suddenly, and she was very surprised, and then very cautious. She said,
"Our stones have told us that you are our superior!" I said, "They said
more. They are afraid, and very sad." She said, "Yes. They say that we
failed your test." I said, "I give people the opportunity to do the
right thing, before imposing consequences. Do you care for these
people?" She said, "You aren't one of them?" I said, "I'm not from this
dimension. ANSWER MY QUESTIONS FULLY, TRUTHFULLY, AND WITHOUT DELAY!"
She said, "Yes we do!" She was very surprised that she did that against
her will, and afraid. I said, "Would they care for you, if they saw
what you really look like?" She said, "They would not." I said, "One
last time. Will you leave?" She said, "No, we are committed to stay."
I said, "So be it. All your people in your other stations in this
system, and on space ships, are now in this building, and in your
buildings in the other nations of this world. You have no access to
transportation that can take you off of this planet. Your disguises
will no longer work." She was stricken with horror. She said, "NO!
They'll kill us!" I said, "A better fate than what you have condemned
them to. They were not to know of you. They are now a contaminated
species. They will be destroyed. YOU caused that. YOU disobeyed God!"
She was absolutely stunned. When she was able to, she said, "How will
they die?" I said, "Gamma ray blast from a supernova. You could have
shielded them from it. Now you can't, after they kill you." She
whispered, "Will some of them survive?" I said, "That has yet to be
determined." She said, "When will it happen?" I said, "I won't tell
you. You may tell your people about this, but you and they will not be
able to tell those of this world. I will save your stones, even though
some don't want to be saved. You should have listened to them." I
turned into a big ball of light, and then thinned out.
It didn't take long for them to be noticed. They made the mistake of
defending themselves. That caused them all to be murdered most
viciously. It also caused a big fear of attack from space. The people
worked fast in building giant underground cities that could be self
sustaining for a hundred years. They will be completed before the gamma
ray blast hits them. There will be a lot of premonitions warning them
of it. Few will heed them, leaving room and resources for many
generations to live in the underground cities. Some will survive to
begin anew. God does work in mysterious ways, and out of necessity,
some of it isn't nice. Reality doesn't care how we feel about it. It
can't. We feel enough to make up for that lack. Hurts, though.
