Solomon's Private File #201
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 24 in this story, in the Summer of 2050.

Daren said to me, "False God Galaxy. Found an object." He told me
where. I said, "Big!" He said, "Link?" I let him in. He said, "You
partitioned me!" I said, "Sure. Don't want you dead." He said, "Oh.
That powerful?" I said, "A little. Compatibility issue. The Apple
mantra." He chuckled and said, "I get it. Think differently. Oh, and
you sure do perceive differently! Are those quarks?" I said, "Mesons.
Quarks inside, kind of." He said, "Could you make a space ship like
that for us?" I said, "Sure, but what for? Porting is easier and
faster." He said, "For S Kids who can use inter-dimensional relays. Got
others, you know." I said, "Still travel time. Idleness is NOT good for
us. Want Double Adept kids there, piggyback them. I can still make the
ship when we really need it. How about this. I've made mindtalk relays
between the galaxies. Automatic positioning. Here's the specs." He
said, "Thanks! I watched how you did that, but it didn't make any
sense." I said, "Did to me." Rude noise. I said, "Impolite, for a
guest." He said, "True." Chuckles.
He said, "Know where it came from?" I said, "There, that galaxy.
About 2 million years ago. No, we aren't going there." He said,
"Originators?" I said, "No useful intelligent life. Killed each other
off. Need a few more million years before they seed it again." He said,
sadly, "Do you know why?" I said, "Went too technological too fast.
Base feelings ruled. Made war well, and with biotics. Didn't know how
to make peace, and didn't want to. Something like Earth before er, us,
but with much bigger and badder toys." He said, "What are you going to
do with the ship?" I said, "Nothing. Fine where it is." He said, "Why
not move it?" I said, "Better you don't try that. It's a string walker.
It doesn't just slide on space strain lines, it can grab them. That's
why it's there and abandoned. Got stuck."
I felt a probe that was harder than what he had been using, and said,
"You know that's not going to work," He projected the feeling of
innocence. I said, "Want to stay linked, don't do that. You can't break
out and explore my mind. There isn't anything for you outside of where
your perceptions are. You're in that partition because that's the only
place you could be. If I didn't create something specifically for you
to see, like I do my physical presence, you wouldn't see anything."
He said, "In what way are you different from God?" I said, "You know
some of that. I exist in physical reality, and not in the God part of
the spirit dimension. He can see all time as one. I can't. He sees all
existence in his mind, without needing viewpoints, something like I
could do with the duplicate world pattern. and that's the most I can do
with a large static pattern. He's a whole lot smarter, and has others
joined with Him to add to that. He's the big Boss with the plan. I'm
his chief worker, among a great many. And he likes me!" Chuckles. He
said, "Do you know his plan?" I said, "How can I know that what I know
is what I know? I think I know what I know, but I don't know the limits
of that." He said, "Oh." I said, "And I wouldn't tell you if I did."
Chuckles. He said, "You know a lot you can't tell me?" I said, "Oh
sure. Really big fat juicy stuff. Fattening, too." Chuckles." I said,
"I think we've had more than enough of this." He said, "Right." He
left, not realizing that he had improved in contact with me.
My stone said, "That was very unusual!" I said, "Because you didn't
understand most of it?" He said with humor, "Partly. It was the
undercurrents that were most interesting. He kept trying to probe you,
and you kept parrying that, and turning it back onto him. He didn't
notice he was improving, one of the most intelligent and accomplished
persons in the galaxy!" I said, "A little psychology here. People most
notice their improvement when they are expecting it to happen, and it's
significant. It's different for your people, who get noticeably fatter
in it." He laughed and said, "True." I said, "Is his stone going to
tell him?" He said, "No. We've all agreed to take your lead in all you
do." I said, "Don't want to get spanked?" He laughed well. He said,
"Actually, it's because we know you are wiser than we are, and we know
it would be best if we don't interfere. And I er, have to tell you that
we've learned something from you that we wish we hadn't." I said, "Oh,
what is that?" He said, "How to feel embarrassed." I tried not to
laugh. I really tried, and that made him laugh. Then he said, "Another
reason is something like the spanking. We don't ever want to cause you
to love us less." I said, "Oh. So it's not enough that you can feel
embarrassed, you need to take your revenge on me for that, to make ME
feel it, too?" He laughed, and I chuckled at that. I said, "You're
sharing that, aren't you." More laughter.
My Originator friends asked to see me. I shifted there, and we
hugged. One said, "We have a problem." I grinned. They smiled, and
another said, "Yes, that's why we asked to see you. There is something
in one of the packages that we are not able to understand." She pointed
me to it in the mind of another. I said, "That mind has a flaw, and the
package has been damaged. I can give you a new package, but to heal
that mind, I must have his permission." She asked him, and he refused.
I said before she could tell me, "I saw that. Further evidence of
damage. I can't force healing on him." She said, "What shall we do?" I
said, "He should be monitored. If he begins to act irrationally, enough
to pose a danger to others or himself, he may be ruled incompetent, and
another could be appointed to make his decisions for him in his best
interest. Who will receive the new package?" She said who, and I said,
"Done." She said, "Would you tell us where that came from?" I said,
"From his mind, the moment in the past that he received it, before it
was damaged. In fact, it was that which caused the damage. He was a
little careless in handling it." She said, "The new recipient reports
that you have opened it for her. We have not lost time in this. Thank
you!" I said, "You're welcome. Let me know when he can be helped." We
hugged, and I shifted away.
I shifted to a station in the Antarctic. They greeted me warmly in
that very cold place in its Winter. I said, "Risky staying here.
Stranded. Really hard to get fresh oranges here. Oh, have some." They
liked them very much. I said to the injured woman, "I'm here for you. I
think you knew that." She said, "I hoped. How did you know? We can't
communicate in this storm. Magnetic disturbances." I said, "Ironic that
what you're here to study, kept you from doing that well. That ends
now. Ready? All want this?" They did. I did a local love broadcast, and
did the healing myself, and stopped. She said, "I'm healed, but I
didn't feel God." I said, "Good thing. Could have made Him jump."
Surprised laughter. I said, "For individual healing, I don't need His
help. For large groups, He uses the broadcaster's own abilities, but
very much extended. I knew about your problem because I monitor remote
stations for these things. No invasion of privacy. Automatic non
recording background process. Best that not be made public, or people
will stop taking necessary precautions." They nodded in agreement.
I made a whole lot of good food for them, and said, "You're going to
need more exercise to work this off." Chuckles. I said, "To explain
this, you can tell them I visited. Oh, and I made some repairs, too,
and your batteries are fully charged. Yes, that's real caviar, a
little. Copied atom by atom from the real thing. Sorry, no Vodka. Very
bad for you in this climate, and I just don't do alcohol." We hugged
with love, and said "do svidania" to each other before I left.
George said in my mind, "Give me the parameters. Got it, and I'll
assign it. Why are you not telling me when you start doing these
things?" I said, "Answer might cause an issue." He said, "Please." I
said, "Alright, but I warned you. I don't know I'm actually doing these
things, until there is something to do as a result of them." He said,
"I don't understand." I said, "And that's saying something!" He said,
"Right, but that's not helping." I said, "You'll feel differently." He
said, "Accepted." I said, "Those parameters you say are so complicated,
well, they take so little effort from me, all I do is have a fleeting
wish, mostly below my full awareness, and they're in place." He said,
"Oh! Wow!" I said, "Maybe." He said, "Got any more?" I said, "Could
make another one at any time. We'll both know about it when one
triggers." He said, "Interesting." I said, "Not really." Rude noise and
chuckles.
The President of Iran asked to see me. He said, "Somalis are making
some trouble about our base there." I said, "I see. They are demanding
more money, and threatening to take it from you if you don't give them
what they want. For them, they think it's a can't lose situation. They
get more money, or they get a well built installation. They are
counting on you not defending it like in a war." He said, "If it were
not secret, we would defend it as part of our national honor. If it
becomes public, our honor will suffer from that prior secrecy. There is
a possible solution. We don't need it now, and will NOT pay more to
keep it there. But we don't want to leave all that for them, to their
undeserved triumph. We request that you port all our people there,
home, and whatever they want to take with them, and then remove all
traces of the base. They want us gone, and they will have it that way,
more than they expect." I said, "That's BAD. I like it." He laughed. He
said, "I didn't expect that." I said, "They are being dishonest, and
are demonstrating bad honor. I like that they will not profit from
that. I will do it, not so much for you, but to teach them." He said,
"I understand. Thank you!" I said, "But I must ask them first, to give
them a chance to change their minds. No, I won't tell them the plan. Do
you agree to my assistance in this, and to accept the results of my
chosen actions?" He said, "I do. One more thing. If they agree to stop,
we still want this action. We can't trust them now." I said, "Wise." We
hugged with love.
When the move was organized, I shifted to the camp of the local
warlord in Somalia, and walked into his HQ, and into his office. I
said, "I hear you want the Iranian base to be gone." He said,
cautiously, "Solomon, greetings. What is your interest in this?" I
said, "I did some emergency repairs to the place some time ago. In a
meeting with the President in Iran, he told me about your
communication. Because I have some interest in the base, and that it's
a secret installation, I thought I would check out what you would do
with it." He said, "I understand. We are poor, and they are rich. We
ask for more money." I said, "How long was the original agreement for?"
He said, "Ten years." I just stared at him. He said, "Er, I was
mistaken. Fifty years." I said, "And you wish to change that agreement
now, before the end of that term?" He said, "We do." I said, "And if
they don't want to pay?" He said, "Then they must leave." I said, "But
then you will not have any more money from them." He said, "That is
true, but we would again have the use of the land." I nodded and said,
"Land is valuable, because there is only so much of it in the world."
He said, "Very true." I said, "You are firm on your decision, your
plan?" He said, "We are." I said, "And your people know of this and
agree to it?" He said, "They do."
I said, "Because there are some dangerous things on the base, Iran
has asked my help in making them safe, if they were to leave. I don't
agree!" I said, "They do not want to pay more money for a base they
have decided they no longer need, and do not want to defend it with
war, which they had almost decided to do. I helped a little with that,
with my offered help, possibly saving your lives." He nodded. I said,
"They have decided to leave." He said, "When will this happen?" I said,
"My offer of help, in exchange for not going to war, included
transporting them home from the base, instantly. That is now done." He
said, "Excellent! I will gather my men and examine the land! Will you
join us?" I said, "I will." They got into trucks and drove out to the
sight. I kept pace with them, sitting on a flying carpet, causing some
of the drivers to have trouble paying attention to their driving. I
tried not to laugh.
They arrived at the site, and looked around in astonishment. I
vanished the carpet, and floated down to stand near the leader. He said
to me, "The base! It's gone!" I said, "That's what you wanted. You
staring at him like he had just crawled out from under a rock, looking
unusually slimy. I said to him, "You acted with severe dishonor. Did
you expect ME to let you profit from that?" The realization of all of
that, fell on him, like an Acme anvil. I said, "You gave them two
choices, expecting to gain a lot from going against your word in the
lease agreement. They could pay more, or you could have all their fine
buildings and equipment they would have to leave behind. You were
stupid and foolishly greedy. If it were not for my help, they could
have killed you all, or could simply have blown up the base. Even if
you had changed your mind, they would still have done that, after their
loss of trust in you. With my help, your people still live, and you
have undamaged land you can use for something. And NO more money from
your FORMER friends. You could have had more in the future, with
keeping them as friends. You could have done more trading with the
people of the base, and some of your people could have continued to
work for them. But you threw that all away in your blind foolish greed,
and the power you THOUGHT you had over an entire powerful nation. One
more thing. They had a nuclear reactor here, which was why I was
involved. Yes, one of the dangerous things I mentioned. If I hadn't
removed it, well, all that radiation, and your people wandering around
I said to all, "Act with dishonor, and all will suffer. Remember this
day, and do not repeat what has caused this. No, do NOT kill him. Let
him continue to suffer the memory of this, and how you now think of
him, the past foolish leader. Do not let him have a weapon that he can
use to harm others and himself. Treat him well in kindness, and he will
suffer more than if you killed him." Some nodded in understanding. I
said to them, "I see a need for some of you to explain my reasoning."
Smiles. I said, "Remember, revenge is NOT justice, and those who
partake of it WILL someday suffer for it." More nods. I said, "I have
repaired your homes and given you food, so you may continue to live
until you find other means of living. This is good land. They had some
wells. I left them for you. Do well. Be well." I left.
I shifted to see the President of Iran, and gave him a crystal of the
action. He said the usual, "Wow!" And, "You tricked them well." I said,
"More like I helped him trick himself. He should have known he should
have been more honest with me. He thought he had power, and that
blinded him to reality." He said, "True. You will not make this
public?" I said, "I didn't ask their permission." He said, "We would
not want it public, even though that is against my personal feelings.
Your teaching of honor should not be lost to the world." I said, "There
will be other actions, other opportunities to teach. Much that could
benefit others that were in some of my unknown actions, will eventually
be made public in other actions. You suspect I choose some actions for
that purpose?" He said, "The Grand Ayatollah has expressed that thought
to me." I said with a smile, "He WOULD notice that." He smiled in
return. We hugged with love.
