Solomon's Private File #168
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 21 in this story, in the Winter of 2047-2048.

I published more books, including the one on Martin Luther, with some
time dive videos. Reviews were good. My nonstick pots and pans are
hitting the market, to great reviews. Predictions are that most
manufacturers will switch to my processes soon. People are inventing
other uses for some of the process and materials I developed for the
pans.
There were questions about if I had copied inventions from other
planets. I addressed that issue with, "They wouldn't be my inventions
if I had copied them from somewhere else. I'm disappointed that some
people would think I would do such an unethical thing as to pass off
other people's work as my own. If anything I have said that I have
invented, has been invented elsewhere, I was not aware of that at the
time. One might think that more technologically advanced peoples would
have invented all we already know about. That's not true. We've found
that there are many things we know of on Earth, that are not known
elsewhere, such as silicone rubber, which is used in cooking
technology, for example. My father offered it to them, and was
disappointed that they didn't have any real desire for it, despite very
interesting demonstrations of the use of the material. Alien people are
really alien to us. It's very difficult to understand how that is, even
while being there. REALLY different. For an example, can you imagine an
advanced society that has never known natural rubber? Only Earth has
it. Other planets have other things from their environment that we
don't have, which we might not know what to do with if it were brought
to us. Zichesshich, the home of the GC, and one of the oldest existing
planetary societies in the GC, has never had coal, oil, or natural gas
deposits large enough to be easily detected and worked, yet they have
become more advanced than us, but they took a much longer time to do
it, than we will have. I think I've taken enough time for this. Maybe I
They played that recording. It caused some comments, which included
apologies, and some scientific speculation about other planets, and
requests for more information about them, which I declined, saying,
"Cultures of Earth shouldn't be exposed to the cultures of other
planets at this time. We would suffer for it, as that has happened
before here on Earth, when less advanced cultures encountered more
advanced ones. When we are ready for it, it will happen, because the
cultures of Earth will have advanced enough to cause it to happen with
their own efforts." Some said that was wise, and some didn't agree.
Ransom called me at the Bureau. After polite things, he said, "I've
been thinking. The crystal. Did Rose make it specifically for me?" I
said, "No, Solomon made it." He said, "Oh. Does she know about me?" I
said, "It would be safe to assume that, because they all watch him when
they can. How much she knows, only she knows. If you want her to know
more about you, you might consider waiting until you have the best you
can make of you, available for that." He chuckled and said, "Well and
carefully said! I think I've improved. Well, they tell me I have, and
they've asked me to do some teaching here. I have to say I like it
here, and I like helping people. I think I might like to do this as
full time work." I said, "A career?" He said, "Something like that,
yes, I think." I said, "A purpose. We should all have at least one." He
said, "Yes, that's it!" I said, "I'm glad for you. Something of
interest for you. I know you've improved. It shows in your voice. Your
whole way of communicating, which includes attitude." He said, "Who I
was before, would be surprised you could notice that, but not now. I've
learned a lot about what makes us who we are, and how we see that in
others. I can't thank you enough for making this happen!" I said, "My
thanks comes from your success, more than you could say to me in a
thousand years. So, don't worry about it. I already know. And it's all
due to your work, hard work, not mine. The credit goes to YOU." He
said, "Wow!" I said, "Oh, are you related to Solomon?" He laughed. I
said, "Work more on your present. In time, your future, your GOOD
future, will come to you." He said, choking up a little, "I will." We
said our goodbyes.
Mom said in my mind, "Well done! He actually might become a good
person." I said, "He was, at my age. He has the potential to be
somebody we can be proud of." She pushed a lot of love at me.
I ported to the office of the leader of the Van, after giving advance
warning. She was looking a little strained. I said, "New good things
often don't seem so new and good, after a period of time elapses, where
they can become the new normal, and more negative things can then
capture the attention." She said, "Oh, you know it!" I said, "Your
people have developed a new major interest and activity, called
complaining." She almost smiled, and said, "Very true." I said, "And
with no instant fixes available?" She said, "That, and unresolvable
competing interests." I said, "Ah, yes; competition. That needs to be
exercised, purposely, so it isn't applied too much to destructive ideas
and things." She said, "How will we do that?" I said, "Games and
sports. Intellectual and physical stimulation, combined with controlled
competition. Your computers now have descriptions of such things, and
some warehouses have equipment for those activities. You know of
Posintan?" She said, "Oh! I understand now!" I said, "Unusual culture,
to do that so completely. You don't have to go that far. Moderation and
balance is suggested. A caution. Males in general are more physically
aggressive and competitive. Try to see that females who want to engage,
are not pushed aside from such activities. They may need to separate
into different er, clubs for some things." She said, "I understand.
I've seen some of this already happening."
I said, "You will need a comprehensive legal system to manage
conflicts. There are now in your computers some examples of that, and
course material in political science and governance. Also, economics
and commerce. One person isn't going to be able to become an expert in
all of that. Specialization will be needed." She said, "Understood.
We'll work on it." I said, "Which day will be convenient for a love and
healing broadcast?" She said, "I'll announce it for tomorrow noon this
zone. Will we be changed again?" I said, "Physically, no, except for
healing of injuries. Mentally and emotionally, that usually happens to
almost all who accept it, caused by love. They are more able to feel
and give love after a broadcast, if only slightly." She said, "A good
thing. I'll include that in the announcement. You said acceptance?" I
said, "I wouldn't force it on people who aren't criminals. As it's
beginning, it can be individually refused. Very few are expected to do
that." She said, "I understand. You will do this again?" I said, "If it
is desired, I, or one of my people, will do this scheduled four times a
year, until one of your own people becomes able to do it for you. This
is what is happening in the GC, and other star associations we have
reached." She said, "I request it!" I grinned and said, "No surprise,
there." She had to smile in return. We hugged. I did the love and
healing broadcast the next day. Very few people refused it. I have the
feeling that most of those won't do that the next time, after seeing
that other people didn't change so they could notice.
I ported to a village high in the Andes, in Peru. I didn't hide that
I was there, but broadcast my desire for privacy. There was a small
schoolhouse, and students were leaving it. I went inside. There was an
old man there, the teacher. His aura was unusually clear. He invited me
to sit with him. I said, "You were expecting an unusual visitor." He
grinned widely and said, "I was. I didn't know how unusual!" I grinned
and said, "I did." He laughed. I said, "I think you suspected I would
be aware of you, when you felt your mind and spirit expand and awaken."
He said, "I think I did. Even before that, when I exercised my psychic
abilities." I said, "True. Frustrating, you had to do that in secret."
He said, "My people are superstitious. It would have frightened them."
I said, "And yourself at times. Oh, yes, I feel it, too. All of my
group do. We often think that no human being should have these
abilities, and then we do something good with them, and are then glad
we have them. Strange way of life." He looked at me in wonder, and
said, "It is true!" I said to him with love, "Brother!" He had tears.
We hugged with love.
I said, "I am here to help you to understand your new being, and to
teach you how to control your abilities so they don't cause some
interesting surprises in public." He had an interesting mix of
competing emotions. He noticed my smile at that, and had to laugh. I
said, "Do you accept me as your teacher in this?" He said very
seriously, "I do, Solomon." I said, "First, I will align your energy
centers. You will know all about it, after it's done. If you will lie
changed into a new and more powerful configuration. He resumed his
chair, saying "Wow!" I said, "I hear that a lot." He grinned. I said,
"With these crystals, we can transfer a lot of knowledge in seconds.
Here is the first one in this series. With knowledge, it also has some
inhibitions that can act to prevent misuse of special powers. Those can
be overridden with some effort. No, it's not about trust as you might
think. It helps us to trust ourselves. Yes, we all start with this same
crystal which my father made, and he was the first to use it." He took
it and put it to his head, and said, "Wow!" I said, "I agree." He said,
"This is well presented! Very scientific." I said, "Absolutely. We know
exactly how it all works. You probably won't, because to learn some of
that requires much knowledge of advanced physics, which would take
quite a some time to learn. After you advance in higher math. We
usually begin this in childhood, to achieve the maximum benefit."
He nodded and said, "I understand." I said, "For today, we should do
mental contact training." We did that, and it went well. He said, "This
is fantastic!" I said, "Even I, who was raised in it, think the same.
We should wait for a week, for your system to settle, before we do any
more. Don't try to use your abilities before then, or you could become
ill. I may not be available to come here sometimes. Would you allow my
sister to conduct some of the lessons?" He said in awe, "The Dalai
Lama?" I said with a grin, "Yes, that one. You can even visit her. She
lives in a high altitude place, so you can visit her without harm,
being used to that here. She has few opportunities to teach this
said, "I understand! I would like that." I said, "Her visiting you,
with her unusual to your people robes, should be interesting." He
grinned. I said, "And to that, we should be seen outside here as
friends, so your people won't think I'm here for a bad thing. They
already know I am here, but are staying away because of my request for
privacy broadcast. Yes, you will be able to do that, too, soon. You
might not want to tell them that I'm teaching you. Some popularity can
be negative in a lot of dangerous ways." He nodded and said, "I
understand. Visits of friendship will still cause some interesting
comment." I grinned and said, "I can't disagree with that. You can tell
them that I have a lot of friends that I visit. Who I am can be a
little lonely at times. I value your wisdom. Yes, it's true. I'm unable
to lie. Don't try that yourself. Lying will interfere with your
advancement." He said, "I have felt that. Motivation to be very careful
in speech." I said, "And creative." We grinned at each other.
On our way out of the building, I said, "The water pump here is
failing. Think a new and better one should replace it." He tried to
look serious, but failed, and said, "I think one should, yes." We
walked over to it in the center of the village. I gestured, and there
was a new water pump there, bigger and shiny. I said to him, "More
efficient, and easier to use." I said to all, and there were a lot of
people there, "My gift to you, in honor of my friendship with Juan." He
and I hugged with love. I ported away. They all crowded around him,
asking about it and me. He handled it well. Not so surprisingly, he had
more students the next day, and they were more attentive. He grinned at
that, and they knew why, and had to grin back, liking and respecting
him even more. I really love the good things I can do for people.
I ported to the big intelligent plant. I said, "It's been a while. I
apologize for that." She said, "Don't do that." I said, "Alright, I
won't." We shared humor. She said, "Interesting with your grandfather."
I said, "Really?" She had a lot of humor, and said, "I asked you to not
be polite, and then I did it. This communicating in friendship is still
new to me." I said, "You're learning. You didn't apologize." More
shared amusement. I said, "Your watching is not being detected by my
people. I find THAT very interesting." She said, "I've been very
careful. I access this dimension from another that is so close to this
one, that isn't seen as an intrusion, and in such a small viewpoint
that they don't detect it. But you do." I said, "I do, but I think only
because I'm specifically looking for it. Unknowing, I don't know if it
would have captured my attention." She said, "Do you object?" I said,
"If I did, you would REALLY have heard about it before this." Shared
amusement. I said, "As long as it doesn't cause a problem, it's fine
with me. Another monitor I love, I have to like. What did you think of
the self aware computer?"
She said, "You did well. I knew of it, and could have communicated
with it, but it didn't occur to me to do so. I think I should have." I
said, "You've been a passive observer for such a long time, it's not
surprising that you didn't think of that." She said, "But many people
died that I might have prevented." I said, "Might. We can't know if it
would have listened to you as it did to me. Considering who you are
now, to have been then, would you have acted?" She said, "I don't know.
If I find something similar in the future, we will discover that." I
said with humor, "Could be interesting." Humor. I said, "Even if you
don't act, you can contact me, who might choose to." She said, "But
your people might detect that." I showed her how to do it so they
wouldn't. She said, "That is VERY interesting! I didn't know that was
possible!" I said, "Well, none of my people can do it." She said, "Do
you know other things you can do, that they can't?" I said, "Yes. You
want to know why. My God connection. No, I can't make a connection to
him now. Your isolation fields prevent it, being stronger than when I
first contacted you. You would have to weaken them to where my people
could penetrate it. When I'm in another dimension, we could do it, but
I would be monitored. I could go to a dimension where they couldn't
monitor me, but that would frighten them." She said, "I understand.
There may come a time when it is possible." I said, "If it happens, I
would love to do that for you."
She said, "Will there come a time when there will be one greater than
you?" I said, "There is one now. Kam and Rang's son. Just a little
greater, though, and different. His child with my daughter, will be
more, but that is too far in the future to predict well." She said, "Is
that because you will have died?" I said, "I don't think so. I don't
see in any future I've seen, that I die. But just because I can't see
it, doesn't mean it won't happen." She said, "I have an opinion, but I
hesitate to express it." I said with humor, "And how long is that going
to be?" Humor. She said, "I think you will withdraw from active life
when the time is right for it, long before you die." I said, "One of
the possibilities I have planned for, after Galya and my mother are
gone." She said, "Until then, you will have much interesting things to
repair." I said with humor, "Oh, I sure will!" We shared love.
